A gas explosion occurred in a mine in the Digri coal field, about 60 km from Quetta in Pakistan, India's neighboring country, killing seven employees working in the mine and injuring three others. According to Pakistan website Dawn, the powerful explosion occurred when more than a dozen miners were working deep inside the mine of a private company. During this time, there was an explosion and 7 employees were buried in it. The sound of the explosion was very strong, it was heard far enough.

Chief Inspector of Balochistan Shafaqat Fayaz confirmed the death toll and said that three other employees injured in the blast were taken to the hospital for treatment. The miners were digging coal during the explosion in the mine, which caused the mine to shut, due to which there was a problem in rescue and relief work. Leaders of the Minworkers' Federation said that the mine caught fire after the explosion. As a result, workers working inside the mine were burned. Rescuers and engineers from the Chief Inspector Directorate reached the scene and conducted a rescue operation. According to Mohammad Iqbal Yousafzai, president of the Mining Labor Union, laborers were sent to extract coal inside the mines, at the same time it exploded, the mine is being reported by the Surbaji Coal Company.
