Islamabad: Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar strongly criticized the International Cricket Council (ICC), saying that the ICC has brought cricket to its knees in the last ten years. Talking with former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar on a sports television channel, Shoaib expressed his displeasure over some of the rules of playing white ball cricket, which has made the format helpful to batsmen.

Actually, Manjrekar had questioned Shoaib that in the limited-overs match, fast bowlers are slowing down and spinners are throwing fastballs, what is your opinion on this. In response, Shoaib said, "Let me say clearly." ICC is ending cricket. I am openly saying that ICC has abolished cricket in the last ten years. "Actually, former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar believes that the number of bouncers per over should be increased as there are now two new balls and most of the time there are only four fielders outside the circle.

Former fast bowler Shoaib, famous in the cricket world by name of Rawalpindi Express, further said that ask ICC whether the level of cricket has increased or decreased in the last ten years. Where are the Shoaib vs Sachin matches now? Regarding Tendulkar, he said, "I never used to be aggressive with him because I have a lot of respect for this world's best batsman." But I tried my best to keep his bat silent. As he struggled with tennis elbow during India's 2006 tour of Pakistan, I put as many bouncers as possible so that he could not hook or pool. ''
