In order to get Pakistan out of the financial crisis, the government headed by Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to sell unused government assets. After coming to power last year, Imran sold many vehicles, helicopters and buffaloes at the Prime Minister's residence. But it earned him less than expected. In the hope of getting financial help, Imran has visited many countries including China and Saudi Arabia.

According to the news in Pakistani media on Thursday, the Imran government hopes that the sale of valuable government assets will attract foreign and Pakistani investors and strengthen the financial position of the country. Imran has said that the proceeds from the sale of unused government assets will be used on public welfare projects.

According to media reports, the sale of government properties will be done at Dubai Expo. Privatization Affairs Secretary Rizwan Malik said, "Foreign and Pakistani investors will be attracted by selling unused government properties at Dubai Expo". While Imran was quoted in the News International newspaper as saying, "It is unfortunate that the previous governments have ignored these valuable assets. Despite the loss of billions of rupees every year, they did not use these assets."
