Senior police officer Mufkhar Adil and former Assistant Attorney General Shahbaz Ahmad Tatla of India's neighboring Pakistan were abducted by unknown people under mysterious circumstances earlier this week in Lahore. The News International report said that Lahore Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Adil and his friend Tatla have been ordered to investigate the abduction case.
Different cases have been registered in the police stations located in Johar Town and Nasirabad. The official vehicle of senior police officer Mufakhar Adil has been recovered from near a shopping mall. Police sources said that the cell phones of both the officers were switched off. Sources also said that senior police officer Mufakhar Adil was investigating an important case.
Since the time Imran Khan took power in Pakistan, the law and order situation has deteriorated in the country. Inflation has also broken the back of the Pakistani people. Pakistan's child rights organization Sahil released a report last September, according to which 1,304 cases of sexual abuse of children were reported in Pakistan from January to June. This report states that every day at least 7 children in Pakistan are becoming victims of sexual harassment.
