Islamabad:Pakistan have not been given their trophy even after winning the T20 series between Pakistan and Bangladesh 3-0. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has argued that they will hand over the trophy to the Pakistan team after the test series results are out. BCB said the trophy was to be given to Pakistan by the chairman of the board but it did not happen due to his absence.

The spokesperson said that board chiefs and sponsor ing companies were not involved in biosecure bubble (covid-led arrangements). Therefore, the award ing programme could not be held due to covid protocols. In the final match of the three-match T20 series between Pakistan and Bangladesh, Pakistan won the entire series 3-0 by 5 wickets. Pakistan needed two runs to win on the last ball of the match and Mohammad Nawaz hit a boundary to give Pakistan the victory. Bangladesh's performance was poor. He scored just 124 runs in 20 overs. Mohammad Naeem also scored 47 runs. Pakistan did not have to work hard to achieve this target.

The T20 series between Bangladesh and Pakistan was not in the news just because of the defeat. Pakistan's actions have led to many talk of the series. Just as the Pakistan team had put up its country's flag while practising at a ground in Dhaka in the past. Thereafter, the people of Bangladesh had expressed their anger over it. Similarly, Pakistani player Shaheen Shah Afridi hit a Bangladeshi batsman Afif Hussain in the ankle. Shaheen was angry because Affif hit him for a six.
