Former Pakistan team captain Inzamam-ul-Haq made a big charge on the team of his own country. Former chief selector of Pakistan Inzamam-ul-Haq has said that there was a feeling of insecurity among the players of Pakistan during the 2019 World Cup. Inzamam also believes that Sarfaraz Ahmed should have been given more time than the sudden removal of Sarfraz Ahmed as captain by the Pakistan Cricket Board. Inzamam-ul-Haq further stated that it is important to support the captains, as they get better with time.

He further added, "Even in the last World Cup, I felt that the captain and the players were under pressure because they were thinking that if we could not do well in the tournament then we would be removed from the team. It's not a good thing for cricket. " Talking on a TV channel, Inzamam-ul-Haq has said, "Sarfaraz has won some notable victories for Pakistan and he was learning to be a good captain, but unfortunately when he learned from experience and mistakes he got removed as captain." Inzamam has been the chief selector of the Pakistan team from 2016 to 2019 World Cup. Sarfaraz remained the captain most of the time during his tenure.

Meanwhile, soon after Inzamam was replaced by head coach Misbah-ul-Haq, the Pakistan Cricket Board removed Sarfraz Ahmed from all three formats as a player and captain. To this, Engi said in his statement, "Sarfaraz won us the Champions Trophy and also made the team number one in cricket. He has also given us some good wins. He should be given more time as a captain by the board Was, but it acted in haste and did not give them confidence or patience." After his statement, there has been no statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board.
