Pune: A tragic accident occurred late in the night in Pune, Maharashtra. At 15 people were reported killed in a parking wall collapse here. All those who died are said to be labourers. Though it is not yet clear what caused the accident, it is said that the parking wall has collapsed due to heavy rains. The incident took place in The Kodwa area of the city. For which rescue and relief work is still going on.

Construction was reportedly in progress in a residential building located in the Kodwa area of the city. Along with the same building, raw houses were also built for the labourers to live in. There was a parking wall next to it, which collapsed after heavy rain. This led to the accident. On the other hand, some cars have also been hit by the wall. The administration and the NDRF team are continuing their rescue operations.

According to Pune District Magistrate Naval Kishore Ram, the wall collapsed due to heavy rains. This has exposed the negligence of the construction company. The death toll is a major tragedy. Most of the casualties include labourers from Bihar and West Bengal. The government will provide assistance to the victims.
