NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who returned from a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, briefed the Lok Sabha on the situation in the state on Friday. He said, terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is due to Pakistan. Our Government has zero tolerance policy against terrorism. He has categorically said that wherever the root cause of terrorism exists, we will enter and kill.

Amit Shah has said in the House that Section 356 was imposed 132 times in Jammu and Kashmir. Of these, Congress has implemented this section 93 times. In the Lok Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah has said that our government banned the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF). It was our government which also banned the fundamentalist outfit Jamaat-e-Islami. He attacked the Congress saying that anti-India people have been given protection. Earlier, it had recommended extension of President's rule in Jammu and Kashmir by another six months. Amit Shah said, elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held in a completely independent and fair assembly. There will be no government intervention in them. The disease in Jammu and Kashmir has to be understood and administered.
