Australia's star fast bowler Pat Cummins believes the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be a great way to restart cricket after the Corona virus and this highly competitive tournament will also help in the preparations for this year's T20 World Cup. Cummins was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL auction for Rs 15 crore 50 lakh, making him the most expensive foreign player of the IPL. The 27-year-old fast bowler said that he is in touch with the team owners and is expected to play in the tournament this year. Cummins told SEN Network on Thursday, "Whenever I talk to the team owners or staff there, they still believe that the tournament will be organized this year."

The BCCI made a big statement about the IPL, saying the tournament could be held after the monsoon season. Due to this, more than three lakh people have lost their lives and almost all sports activities including cricket have come to a standstill. Cummins said, "It (IPL) can be a great way to return to cricket (after the interruption due to Kovid-19)." This is T20, not too harsh for your body.

He said, "The World Cup is to be played also, so the more T20 tournaments will be played in the top level, the more it will be fantastic. "The 13th season of the IPL was to begin in late March but was postponed for indefinite period due to Corona virus epidemic. There is also uncertainty about this year's T20 World Cup in Australia due to this epidemic.
