AIMIM leader Waris Pathan has apologized for the controversial statement made during the anti-CAA rally in Bangalore on Thursday. Pathan said that my words are being viewed in a political way. This is being done under a conspiracy to discredit me and my party. If someone has been hurt by my words, then I withdraw my words and I apologize.

For your information, let us tell you that Waris Pathan held a press conference on Saturday at his Bandra residence. During this, he clarified his statement. He said that an attempt was made to create confusion against me. Pathan said that I meant 15 crore angry Muslims. I had commented not on 100 crore Hindus but on 100 leaders. I spoke against Rashtriya Swayamsevak and 100 BJP leaders. I respect all religions and I am not anti-national.

On the other hand, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said on Saturday that the state police will take appropriate action in the matter of disputed remarks of AIAMIM national spokesman Waris Pathan. Let us tell you that a petition has been filed against Pathan in the Bihar court in this case, which is to be heard on March 4.
