BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik urged all newly elected members of panchayati raj institutions (PRIs) on Thursday to ensure that no one is denied access to government benefits.

Patnaik told newly elected PRI members, including zila parishad presidents, block chairpersons, and sarpanchs, during an orientation session here that the challenges faced by the people should be treated as their personal concern and that they should make honest efforts to fix them. He congratulated the newly elected representatives, saying that a large number of women had won the panchayat poll this time. He said, "Biju Babu's desire for women's emancipation has now come true."

"You're all aware of the panchayat's significance in our governance and development ambitions. The panchayat is the hub of government services "Patnaik said. The Chief Minister urged elected members to preserve the rights of women, the poor, and the vulnerable, and to always be there for the people in good times and bad.

Patnaik advised them to use the 5T (teamwork, technology, transparency, transformation, and time restriction) values of his government in the development of the villages.  He told the members that the public has placed their trust in them and that they should never let them down and should treat their trust as a sacred responsibility.
