India's penchant for games and sports, especially for cricket is widely known. From the love for hockey as shown in the movie ‘Chak de India' to cricket fiends flooding in cinema halls for the movie 'MS Dhoni', Indians take a deep interest in every sport of the country. Though the difference may lie in the fact that some are widely popular while others aren't. ‘Wushu', a Chinese martial art form introduced in India in 1989 by Late Shri Anand Kacker, is such a sport which has not yet achieved recognition at a wider scale in India. But its Indian champions like Pawan Gupta have drawn the attention of the nation towards this sport.
