Jammu: After the National Conference, now the People's Democratic Party has also decided to start organizational activities in Kashmir. For this, it was decided to have a meeting at the party headquarters on Thursday. PDP General Secretary has sought consent from the Mandalayukta and IGP Kashmir. If consent is obtained, it will be the first official organizational meeting of the PDP in the previous year.

In the meeting, further planning will be determined after discussing the secret declaration and the current political scenario of Jammu and Kashmir. PDP General Secretary and former Agriculture Minister Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura said that the meeting will be presided over by former Revenue Minister Abdul Rahman Veeri. Many of our leaders are under house arrest and have appealed to the administration to attend the meeting. We have also appealed to the Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar and the District SSP to give approval. It is expected that the Administration will give us the approval of the meeting".

Party chief Mehbooba Mufti could not attend the meeting due to being under house arrest during the meeting. A video message was sent and recorded through the virtual channel by party general secretary Ghulam Nabi Lone, Naeem Akhtar. It has been decided to postpone it if the leaders do not reach the meeting. The meeting has been cancelled for now. There is no disclosure on when this meeting will be held.
