Amaravati: The government has successfully conducted the pension distribution program in panchayat elections without suffering from the widows, divyangs and long-term patients. Since monday morning, volunteers went to beneficiaries' homes and distributed pension money. On the first day, Rs 1,375.51 crore was handed over to the beneficiaries. This month, 61,56,684 people were released by the government and 93.42 per cent of the 57,51,664 were distributed on Monday. The distribution of pensions will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday for the rest. These are the interesting events that took place across the state on Monday during the distribution of pensions.

Kesankurti Vijay, a volunteer from the old Injaram village of East Godavari district, went to the houses of the beneficiaries in the wedding dress and distributed pensions in a few hours.  All those who received pensions blessed him. The volunteer Sanjeevaraya, who was in hospital, was 30 km away from Theerapuram in The kooderu mandal of Anantapur district. He went to the hospital and handed over the pension cash.

Devishetty Venkataramana of Vellangi village in East Godavari district was treated in kakinada government hospital with illness and volunteer Appanapalli sunlight went to him and gave him a pension. Parandhamayya of Ambur village in Chittoor district was treated at the Cancer Hospital in Chennai while volunteer Vamsi Krishna went to Chennai and gave him a pension. Gangulamma of Errapasattipalle village in the same district was treated at Ruya Hospital in Tirupati while volunteer Ramana went to the hospital and provided pension. Simhachalam, an elderly man from Arilova area of Visakhapatnam district, recently fell ill and was treated in a hospital in health city, while volunteer Manoj went directly to the hospital and paid pension money.
