More than 18-year-olds can register from Saturday for vaccination

New Delhi: People above the age of 18 years can get corona vaccine from May 1 and those who want to get vaccinated can register on the Co-Win portal from Saturday i.e. April 24. Registration on the portal will start within 48 hours for the next phase of vaccination.

It may be recalled that in view of the record number of cases being reported in India daily during the second wave of corona, the Central Government has started vaccination for all citizens above the age of 18 years from 1st May. As per the new rules, state and private hospitals can now buy the vaccine directly. Covicherof Serum Institute of India (SII) and Covacin made by Bharat Biotech are being used in India. Russia's Covid vaccine Sputnik-V may soon be allowed to use emergency in the country.

Let me tell you that on Wednesday itself, the Serum Institute (SII) had announced that it would sell its vaccine to the States for Rs.  As per the data of the Union Health Ministry, more than 13 crore doses of corona vaccine have been administered so far across the country.
