Visakhapatnam: PETA, a world-renowned organization working in the animal welfare sector, has praised the online waste exchange platform launched by the Andhra Pradesh government. This is the first platform of its kind in the country. The Indian wing of 'People for Ethical Treatment to Animals' (PETA) has thanked CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of Andhra Pradesh for this initiative.

The tools of this platform will help the authorities in real time monitoring of the movement of hazardous waste. The official handle of PETA India wrote that, "Thank you Jagan, we are confident that this (project) will help animals as well". On the eve of Andhra Pradesh Environmental Management Corporation (APEMC) launched online waste exchange platform.

Let us know that the gas leak incident in Andhra Pradesh on May 7 in the factory named LG POLYMER in Visakhapatnam shook the nation. Red and orange zones in Andhra Pradesh are quite large industries in the declared areas. These industries release large quantities of liquid waste, hazardous and non-hazardous solid waste and air pollutants (air pollutants). These industries also produce various types of waste like e-waste. Special attention needs to be given in this regard.
