New Delhi: Petition seeking postponement of Bihar assembly elections has been rejected by the country's largest court. The Supreme Court has expressly refused to hear this petition. In view of the global epidemic coronavirus, there was a demand to postpone the elections.

A three-member bench of Justices Ashok Bhushan, Justice R. Subhash Reddy and Justice MR Shah also refused to allow the petitioner to present a representation before the Election Commission in this regard. The Supreme Court bench said, 'We cannot allow everyone to go to the Election Commission. We can only allow you to withdraw the petition. Actually, a person named Ajay Kumar had filed a petition claiming that due to the epidemic, the elections to the Bihar Legislative Assembly could not be conducted smoothly, so the court should postpone them.

Let us tell you that shortly before now, the Central Election Commission has announced the schedule for the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections. This time Bihar elections will be held in 3 phases and the results of elections will come on 10 November.
