Petrol and diesel prices across the country are setting a new record every day. State-run oil companies have released new petrol and diesel prices for today (Sunday). Oil companies have also hiked fuel prices on October 31, the last day of the month, in a setback to the common man. According to petroleum marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, petrol and diesel prices have become costlier by 35 paise per litre for the fifth consecutive day today. According to the latest update released by public sector oil marketing companies, petrol prices in Delhi have touched a high of Rs 109.34 per litre and Mumbai at Rs 115.15 per litre. In Mumbai, diesel is now selling at Rs 106.23 per litre, while in Delhi, diesel is priced at Rs 98.07 per litre.

The skyrocketing prices of petrol and diesel have made life difficult for the general public. Petrol prices have crossed Rs 121 per litre in the Anuppur district bordering Madhya Pradesh. While diesel is selling across Rs 110 per litre. At the same time, the price of petrol in Balaghat is more than Rs 120 per litre. Petrol price in Balaghat is Rs 120.42 while diesel is Rs 109.69 per litre. The public is also angry with the government over the continued increase in oil prices.
