New Delhi: State-owned oil companies have released the new rates of petrol and diesel today i.e. on Thursday. And like yesterday, there was no change in prices today. However, the price of crude oil remains above $120. Experts say that if crude does not come down, then the prices are bound to rise. A few days ago, the Central Government gave a big relief to the public by reducing taxes on petrol and diesel, but due to the rising prices of crude, the petroleum companies have started putting pressure on them to raise the prices again. In such a situation, due to the rising crude, the possibility of increasing the price of petrol and diesel has increased, but the relief is that there is no increase in the prices today.
Today i.e. on Thursday, petrol is selling at Rs 96.72 per litre in Delhi and Rs 109.27 per litre in Mumbai. Petrol in Mumbai is Rs 109.27 and diesel is Rs 95.84 per litre. Petrol 102 in Chennai. Rs 63 and diesel rs 94.24 per litre and petrol in Kolkata is Rs 106.03 and diesel rs 92.76 per litre. The prices of petrol and diesel change at 6 a.m. every day. In fact, the new rates come into effect from 6 a.m. After adding excise duty, dealer commission, VAT and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price almost doubles the original price and that is why the prices of petrol and diesel appear to be so high.
