Petrol and diesel prices rise for second consecutive day, know today's rate

New Delhi: Inflation continues to hit the nation. On Wednesday, the price of petrol and diesel again increased for the second consecutive day. Petrol in Delhi is being sold at Rs 87.60 per liter, while in Mumbai it is being sold at Rs 94.12 per liter. Oil marketing companies raised the price of petrol by 30 paise in Delhi, 29 paise in Kolkata and Mumbai, and 26 paise in Chennai on Wednesday. The price of diesel has increased by 25 paise in Delhi and Kolkata, 27 paise in Mumbai, and 24 paise per liter in Chennai.

According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai has increased to Rs 87.60, Rs 88.92, Rs 94.12, and Rs 89.96 per liter respectively. Diesel prices have also increased to Rs 77.73, Rs 81.31, Rs 84.63, and Rs 82.90 per liter in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai respectively.

In the international market, crude oil has recorded a decline after eight consecutive sessions. However, the benchmark crude oil Brent crude remains above $ 61 per barrel. Brent crude, the benchmark crude oil on the international futures market Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), was trading at $ 61.03 a barrel, down 0.31 percent from its previous session on Wednesday.
