New Delhi: Crude oil prices are softening in the world markets. Meanwhile, diesel prices in the national capital Delhi have crossed Rs 81 per liter, breaking the record for the price of diesel ever. Delhi is the only state in the whole country where diesel and petrol are being sold at higher prices. However, on Tuesday, the second trading day of the week, there is no change in the prices of petrol and diesel.
Earlier, the price of diesel increased on Sunday and Monday. On Monday, the price of diesel was increased by 11 paise in Delhi, 12 paise in Kolkata, and 10 paise per liter in Mumbai and Chennai. In the national capital, the price of diesel has been increased to Rs 81.05 per liter. In the National Capital Region (NCR), diesel and petrol are sold at 62 paise more, per liter increasingly costly. According to Indian Oil, the prices of diesel in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai have increased to Rs 81.05, Rs 76.17, Rs 79.27, and Rs 78.11 per liter respectively.
However, petrol prices remained steady for the 14th consecutive day. Petrol price in all the four metros is fixed at Rs 80.43, Rs 82.10, Rs 87.19, and Rs 83.63 per liter respectively. Regarding crude oil, softness is being seen in the international market.
