Petrol prices hiked by 14 paise per ltr, diesel by 10 paise per litre

The price of petrol was hiked by 14 paise per litre whereas diesel was increased by 10 paise a litre on Tuesday, having subsequent increase in commission being paid to dealers.

You will now have to shell out Rs 64.72 a litre for petrol in the capital from midnight on Tuesday as against Rs 64.58 per litre at this time. Diesel will cost Rs 52.61 per litre up from Rs 52.51 a litre.

Acording to Indian Oil Corp,“There will be corresponding price revisions on petrol and diesel in other states on account of change in dealer commission.” 

The hike in petrol rate comes on the back of a 37 paise increase as affected on October 1. Diesel price was cut by 8 paise a litre on that day.
