New Delhi On Tuesday, the Post Graduation Institute’s 119th Standing Finance Committee(SFC) approed several important projects of the Institute which includes 300-bed Neuroscience centre and another 300-bed mother and child care ward in the hospital.

Officials from the PGI and senior health ministry officials attended the meeting held in New Delhi on tuesday.

According to sources, the SFC has cleared the PGI projects which were mentioned in the agenda.

A senior PGI official said, “Those projects which have been cleared include an OT complex, a satellite centre of PGI in Sangrur Phase 1-B, a skill centre and others”.

He further added, “The SFC has asked for some modifications in the OT complex”.

“The committee was also briefed about the civil work by engineering wing of PGI at the Institute. Also, utilization of budget provided under plan and non plan heads were also discussed,” said another PGI official.

Manju Wadwalkar, said “I have no information about the SFC meeting.”
