Manila: Gunmen intercepted a group of bikers and then opened fire indiscriminately at them, killing nine people in a busy area of the Kshini Philippine.  The local police gave information about this on Sunday. Giving information, police officials said that most of the people who were fired on Saturday afternoon in Kabakan town of Cotabato province were farmers.

Officials say that the incident may have occurred due to local conflict and it is unlikely to be an incident of terrorism. Cotabato is a poverty-stricken area, where Muslim separatism, which has been going on for many years, is now seeing a slight decrease. It declined in 2014 following a contract between the Philippine's largest Muslim rebel group and the government. However, small armed groups belonging to the Islamic State group still pose a threat.

Giving information, the officer said that most of the people killed did not know each other and they were traveling on six bikes. At present, the local police are looking for the attackers. Police say that it cannot be called a terrorism incident, we are trying to find out the real cause of the incident.
