The Pandya brothers however, will have a long break before the Indian Premier League starts on April 7. he Pandya brothers were retained by Mumbai Indians while Rahul fetched a whopping Rs 11 crore from Kings XI Punjab in the 2018 auction.

Currently, he is sitting out from the ODI team, with India preferring Ajinkya Rahane, Manish Pandey and Dinesh Karthik over him in the middle-order. In the Test format, Dhawan and Murali Vijay will surely be the first choice in England after his mere return of 30 runs from four innings in South Africa.

Hardik Pandya, who has been rested for theT20 tri-series in Sri Lanka, has a lot to prove after an average South Africa tour. He started off with a 93 in Cape Town in the first Test but failed to make a major impact after that on the tour and has faced some criticism for not stepping up in either of the departments. Pandya managed only 86 runs from the last two Tests, six ODIs and three T20Is after his sensational knock in the first innings of the Cape Town Test. The 24-year-old grabbed 10 wickets with the ball across all the formats.
