New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC) will clash in the second match of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) this evening. The match will be played between the teams of veteran Mahendra Singh Dhoni and young Rishabh Pant. Before entering the match, everyone has the same question in mind that 33-year-old Cheteshwar Pujara, who was bought in the February auction, will get a chance in the final XI. Will he be able to make his IPL debut for Chennai?
CSK failed to perform as expected last season and had to be knocked out from the first round. Delhi, on the other hand, made it to the final but missed out on winning the title. This time both the teams will be looking to overcome their last season's shortfall. Rituraj Gaikwad, who played brilliant innings for Chennai last season, will get the support of veteran Robin Uthappa this time. Suresh Raina, who withdrew from the tournament for personal reasons last season, will bat at the third spot. This is followed by captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and then Dwayne Bravo.
Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja could be named in the all-rounder squad. While Jadeja bowls spin, Sam's will gives strength to the fast bowling attack. In fast bowling, the team can give a chance to Shardul Thakur who is in excellent form. With this Deepak Chahar and Lungi Ngidi can be seen as pace attacks. Imran Tahir can be included in the final XI as the main spinner.
CSK's Probable playing XI:-
Rituraj Gaikwad, Robin Uthappa, Suresh Raina, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Dwayne Bravo, Sam Curran, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Lungi Ngidi, Imran Tahir.
