NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday shared an engaging and heartfelt interaction with NSS volunteers, NCC cadets,tribal guests, and tableaux artists participating in this yearâs Republic Day parade.
The gathering was held at his official residence on Lok Kalyan Marg, where vibrant cultural performances celebrated the rich diversity of Indian traditions.
Breaking away from conventional formats, PM Modi chose a casual, interactive approach. He engaged directly with the participants in informal, one-on-one conversations, creating a lively and personal exchange of ideas. This unique setting allowed the young participants to connect with the Prime Minister on a deeper level.
During the session, PM Modi emphasized the value of national unity amid diversity, urging everyone to foster connections with people from different states. He highlighted the significance of the âEk Bharat Shreshtha Bharatâ initiative, saying, âSuch interactions promote mutual understanding and unity, which are crucial for national development.â He stressed that these shared experiences build a collective sense of belonging, essential for the countryâs progress.
The Prime Minister also discussed the importance of fulfilling civic duties to achieve the vision of a âDeveloped Indiaâ (Viksit Bharat). He encouraged the youth to stay united and committed to advancing the nation through collective efforts.
PM Modi urged participants to sign up on the My Bharat Portal and actively take part in nation-building initiatives. He shared advice on adopting healthy habits, such as waking up early, practicing discipline, and staying punctual. He also suggested maintaining a diary to reflect on daily activities and personal growth.
Highlighting the governmentâs initiatives, PM Modi spoke about programs aimed at womenâs empowerment, such as the creation of 3 crore âLakhpati Didis.â A participant shared an inspiring story of how his mother benefited from this initiative, enabling her products to reach international markets. PM Modi applauded these success stories as symbols of the transformative power of such schemes.
He also underscored how affordable data rates in India have boosted connectivity, fueling the success of the Digital India initiative. He pointed out that these efforts have created countless opportunities and made technology accessible to all.
Addressing cleanliness, PM Modi called for collective responsibility, saying, âIf 140 crore Indians commit to cleanliness, India will always stay Swachh.â He encouraged planting trees in honor of mothers under the âEk Ped Maa Ke Naamâ campaign, symbolizing gratitude and respect.
The Prime Minister also promoted the âFit India Movement,â urging everyone to incorporate Yoga and fitness into their routines. He emphasized that good health is essential for building a strong and prosperous nation.
