New Delhi: The Indian government is constantly trying to evacuate Indian nationals and Afghans stranded in Afghanistan. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has now tweeted and informed that in view of the developments in Afghanistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed the External Affairs Ministry to inform MPs of all political parties of both the Houses about the developments in Afghanistan. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi will now give further details on the matter. India is constantly working hard to evacuate Indian nationals and Afghans stranded in Afghanistan.

There are reports that Minister Prahlad Joshi is convening the meeting. The day before, India's C-17 aircraft had returned from Afghanistan to 168 people. These include 107 Indians. Two Afghan Sikh leaders Anarkali Honayar and Narendra Singh Khalsa have also been brought to India. Indians have also been brought from Afghanistan by three other aircraft. As per the information received, these aircraft are being operated by Air India, IndiGo and Vistara. Who landed in Delhi from Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, and Doha in Qatar.
