Himachal Pradesh-SHIMLA:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed Rs 21,000 crore to more than 10 crore farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on Tuesday in Shimla (Himachal Pradesh).
The transfer on Tuesday is the 11th instalment of the PM-KISAN programme.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to Shimla for the 'Garib Kalyan Sammelan.' At a ceremony commemorating the NDA government's ninth year in power, Modi spoke with the beneficiaries of several government initiatives. Ridge Maidan in Shimla is hosting the event.

During the Sammelan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi solicited feedback from public representatives from throughout the country on the government's many social programmes.

According to the Prime Minister's Office, the Sammelan's targeting to improve the reach and delivery of government programmes in order to improve the country's residents' quality of life.
