Big news is coming for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan). The central government has made Aadhar seeding mandatory from this month to get the next installment through this scheme. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar told the Lok Sabha on Tuesday that under PM Kisan Yojana, the next installment of Rs 2,000 will be transferred only to eligible farmers with Aadhaar verified bank accounts from this month. Under the PM-Kisan scheme, the central government is releasing financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually in 3 equal installments to 14 crore farmers of the country. This amount is directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries.

So far 20.65 crore loan sanctioned in Mudra Yojana

Discount was available till 30 November
Aadhaar was kept optional to get the first installment of December 2018-March 2019. However, farmers in Assam, Meghalaya, and Jammu and Kashmir are exempted from this till March 2020. However, it was proposed to make Aadhaar mandatory for the 2nd installment but due to the delay in Aadhaar seeding, this rule was relaxed till November 30, 2019. In response to a written question in the Lok Sabha, Tomar said, "Beneficiary Aadhaar seeding will be mandatory for the installment to be released from December 1, 2019, onwards".

7.60 crore people benefit
He informed that the government has transferred funds to 7.60 crore beneficiaries under this scheme till 30 November. So far, under this scheme, the government has paid Rs 35,882.8 crore to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The minister said that the registration of farmers and the transfer of the installment after this scheme is a continuous process. He further said that funds are transferred after uploading the correct and verified information on the web portal of PM-Kisan by the respective state governments. Tomar said that the speed of uploading information of beneficiaries without any fault varies from state to state.
