Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up for a significant venture as he prepares to embark on a visit to the states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, both of which are headed for elections. During his visit, PM Modi will be at the forefront of launching an array of projects, encompassing railways, road infrastructure, and more, with a combined value of a staggering Rs 17,000 crore.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister shared details of his itinerary, disclosing that he will touch down in Jodhpur on Thursday morning, marking the commencement of his visit. In Rajasthan, a series of development projects linked to connectivity, healthcare, and higher education are on the agenda for inauguration and the laying of foundation stones. PM Modi emphasized the pivotal role of Rajasthan's development alongside that of Madhya Pradesh in the pursuit of a prosperous India.

In Madhya Pradesh, a plethora of projects, totaling Rs 12,600 crore, awaits inauguration and foundation stone laying. These encompass railway and road initiatives, as well as a noteworthy memorial dedicated to Rani Durgavati, with an estimated cost of Rs 1,000 crore. Named 'Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan,' this memorial will sprawl across 21 acres and feature a towering 52-foot bronze statue of the Gond queen. Additionally, it will house a museum chronicling the history, culture, cuisine, and lifestyle of the Gond people in the Gondwana region.

Following the museum's inauguration, the Prime Minister's schedule includes the unveiling of 'Housing for All,' a 'Light House Project' in Indore. This project, executed under the 'Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban,' is designed to provide housing for over 1,000 families. Furthermore, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for multiple 'Jal Jeevan Mission' projects in Mandla, Jabalpur, and Dindori districts, collectively valued at over Rs 2,350 crore. The Jal Jeevan Mission aims to bring potable water to more than 1,500 villages in the region.

Road infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh is also slated for substantial improvement, with projects exceeding Rs 4,800 crore set to be inaugurated. These initiatives include the upgrade of the Jharkheda-Berasia-Dholkhedi section of NH 346, the four-laning of the Balaghat-Gondia Section of NH 543, the Khandwa Bypass connecting Rudhi and Deshgaon, the Temagaon to Chicholi section of NH 47, as well as roads connecting Boregaon to Shahpur and Shahpur to Muktainagar.

Railway projects worth Rs 1,850 crore are on the docket as well, encompassing the doubling of the rail lines connecting Katni-Vijaysota (102 km) and Marwasgram-Singrauli (78.5 km), both integral parts of the Katni-Singrauli section doubling project.

Beyond the realm of railways, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the 352-kilometre-long Vijaipur-Auraiya-Phulpur Gas Pipeline Project, constructed at a cost of Rs 1,750 crore. Additionally, the day's activities will include the launch of the Nagpur-Jabalpur section (317 km) of the Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda Pipeline Project, as well as the inauguration of a new bottling plant in Jabalpur, constructed at an investment of nearly Rs 147 crore.

This marks the Prime Minister's ninth visit to Madhya Pradesh in the current year, with his most recent stop being in Gwalior on October 2. The state is bracing itself for upcoming Assembly Elections, and the announcement of election dates is anticipated shortly.
