New Delhi:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various developmental projects worth Rs 16,000 crore in Deoghar, a famous pilgrimage site in Jharkhand.  The PM will address the closing ceremony of the centenary celebrations of the Bihar Legislative Assembly in Patna, the same day.

A port, a railway station in Godda, a bridge across the Ganga River, and national highways are just a few of the other projects that the prime minister has started for Jharkhand and the Santhal Pargana region.

The new initiatives in Jharkhand are a step toward accelerating infrastructure growth, improving connectivity, and expanding the region's ability to live comfortably. 

Modi will officially open an airport at Deoghar, which was built at an estimated cost of about Rs 400 crore, as a crucial step toward establishing direct connectivity to Baba Baidyanath Dham (the Shiva temple), a significant holy destination for devotees from all across the nation.

The PM will dedicate to the nation the In-Patient Department (IPD) and operation theatre services at AIIMS, Deoghar. This is in accordance with his focus to develop excellent healthcare facilities in various parts of the country, the PMO said.
