AHMEDABAD: PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the party's national president JP Nadda have expressed their gratitude by tweeting in view of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) spectacular victory in the Municipal Corporation elections held in Gujarat. BJP has won 85% of the total seats in this election. At the same time, Congress has been reduced to just 44 seats.
Today’s win across Gujarat is very special. For a party that is serving in a state for over two decades to record such a phenomenal win is noteworthy. It is heartening to see widespread support from all sections of society, particularly the youth of Gujarat towards BJP.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted and thanked the public for the BJP's excellent performance in the Gujarat local body elections. PM Modi wrote in a tweet, "Thank you Gujarat! The result of local body elections across the state clearly shows unwavering faith in the people towards the politics of development and good governance. I am grateful to the people of the state for relying on the BJP.” PM Modi further wrote in his tweet that, "I appreciate the efforts of every BJP Gujarat worker who reached out to the people across the state and made them aware of the party's vision. The public interest policies of the Gujarat government have brought about positive changes in the state.”
While expressing his happiness over the victory, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Congress has lost deposits on so many seats & come 3rd & 4th on many others. By giving only 44 seats, people have sent a message to Congress leaders to do self-introspection. BJP's win on over 85% seats is a victory of BJP govts' functioning & its principles."
