Nagpur: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and PM Narendra Modi will be seen on stage together next month. For the first time since 2014, Prime Minister Modi and Speaker Bhagwat will be seen on the same stage together. In fact, PM Modi is likely to inaugurate several projects on April 27, including the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Nagpur and a cultural centre at the Koradi branch of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

Prime Minister Modi is also likely to share the stage with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat during his visit to Nagpur. Bhagwat and Modi will share the stage at the cancer hospital. The Cancer Institute is a 460-bed hospital with modern equipment. It is run by the Sangh Parivar. Spread over 25 acres near the Samruddhi Motorway in Jamtha, this hospital will have 10 floors with a built-up area of about 7 lakh square feet in the future and will be the largest cancer hospital in the country.

A senior official of the institute told me that they have also invited RSS chief Bhagwat along with Prime Minister Modi for the inaugural programme. PM Modi had visited the city on November 11 of last year and inaugurated several projects, including the Samriddhi Motorway,and the first phase of the Mahametro. Along with this, the Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the second phase of the Mahametro, the Vande Bharat Express from Nagpur to Bilaspur, and AIIMS here in Nagpur. PM Modi last met RSS chief Bhagwat on May 10, 2014, in New Delhi. Then he was the CM of Gujarat.
