New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated those who won the Outstanding Contribution Award for the promotion and development of Yoga. "We are extremely proud of their work to make sure that yoga is more healthy and the planet (earth) is more healthy," PM Modi tweeted, sharing congratulatory messages in Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian, Japanese and English.

PM Modi has said that Japan Yoga Niketan, founded in 1980, introduced yoga throughout Japan. Japan Yoga Niketan operates several yoga training centres and courses. People from all communities in Japanese society reach here. Munger's Bihar Yoga School, founded by Swami Satyananda Saraswati, has been actively functioning for more than 50 years.

Prime Minister Modi said, he added modern practitioners to improve ancient knowledge fitness. His yoga programmes and publications are extremely popular." PM Modi also mentioned Antonietta Roji, who is from Italy and has been doing yoga for more than four decades. He founded Sarva Yoga International and popularized Yoga all over Europe. "We are proud of dedicated people like him," Modi tweeted.
