Hyderabad: PM Narendra Modi reached Telangana on Saturday (April 8) and presented the Vande Bharat Express to Secunderabad. Meanwhile, Telangana Chief Minister KCR did not appear in the entire programme. He neither reached the airport to receive PM Modi nor appeared with the Prime Minister during the programme. Let us tell you that KCR has done this many times before. In his place, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan received the Prime Minister.
As per reports, PM Modi launched and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth over Rs 11,300 crore in Telangana, with an emphasis on infrastructure and connectivity. PM Modi flags off the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express at Secunderabad Railway Station. PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway Station and inaugurated other development projects related to railroads.
According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express, which connects IT City, Hyderabad, to Lord Venkateswara's abode, Tirupati, is the second Vande Bharat train to be launched from Telangana within a short span of three months. The train will reduce the travel time between the two cities by about three and a half hours and will be especially beneficial for the pilgrims.
