New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday wished Vice President Venkaiah Naidu a happy birthday and referred to him as "an inspiration for the citizens." He also stated that the Rajya Sabha Chairman had been instrumental in "raising the standards" of parliamentary debates.
"Happy birthday to our esteemed vice president, Shri @MVenkaiahNaidu. He has provided the country with tremendous service for many years. He serves as an example for our people. His dedication to rural development, social welfare, and agriculture is admirable, Prime Minister Modi said.
The senior BJP official who was chosen to serve as the nation's Vice President in 2017 has had the opportunity to work "closely" with the Prime Minister for a number of years, the Prime Minister said.
Over the past few years, I've had the opportunity to work closely with @MVenkaiahNaidu Garu. His zeal and vitality have always impressed me. He has significantly improved the caliber of parliamentary sessions and discussions in his capacity as our vice president. I'm hoping for a long life for him," he noted.
Home Minister Amit Shah also extended greetings to Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and said that his wisdom has "few parallels". I wish the Honorable M. Venkaiah Naidu Ji, Vice President of India, a very happy birthday. Few people can match Venkaiah Ji's intelligence, humour, and wit. "May he have a long life in perfect health," Shah noted.
