Pm Narendra Modi was felicitated at a BJP Parliamentary Party meeting here to announce november 15 (Birsa Munda's birthday) as Tribal Pride Day. Let me tell all of you that the BJP Parliamentary Party usually meets every Tuesday during the Parliament session, however, the meeting was not held last week.
Talk about the Winter Session of Parliament, it started on 29th November and is scheduled to continue till 23rd December. Let me tell all of you that the Opposition is adamant on the demand to revoke the suspension of 12 MPs in both the Houses of Parliament. That is why the smooth functioning of Parliament is hampering the smooth functioning of Parliament. The suspended members are said to be six from congress, two each from Trinamool Congress and Shiv Sena and one each from CPI and CPM.
All the 12 MPs have been protesting in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Parliament every day since the suspension. Let me tell you that Ilamaram Karim of CPM, Phoolo Devi Netam, Chhaya Verma, R Bora, Rajamani Patel, Syed Nasir Hussain, Akhilesh Prasad Singh, Binay Vishwam of CPI, Dola Sen and Shanta Chhetri of TMC and Priyanka Chaturvedi and Anil Desai of Shiv Sena have been suspended for the remaining part of the current session on charges of indiscipline in the House. If you remember, members were suspended for alleged uncontrolled conduct at the end of the monsoon session in August.
