Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that it is because of India's growing strength that we are able to evacuate our people stranded in Ukraine safely. The Prime Minister said this while addressing a rally in Sonbhadra, UP. He also said that India will not remain short of bringing its people back from Ukraine. Addressing a rally in Sonbhadra, Prime Minister Modi said, "Due to India's growing strength, we are able to evacuate our people of Ukraine."

He attacked the opposition, especially the Congress, saying, "Those who question the bravery of the armed forces and make in India, they can never make the country strong." Prime Minister Modi has held frequent meetings with his ministers and officials in recent times on the issue of bringing the citizens of India stranded in Ukraine to a safe country. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday said India has evacuated 1,377 of its people from war-torn Ukraine in the last 24 hours.

Significantly, the government's efforts to evacuate Indian nationals stranded in war-torn Ukraine are gaining momentum over time. According to official sources, 31 evacuation flights will be operated to the neighbouring countries of crisis-hit Ukraine and more than 6,300 people stranded in the country will be repatriated. Under Operation Ganga, these flights will be operated by Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo, SpiceJet and Indian Air Force.
