Lucknow: In the UP Assembly elections (Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2022), Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has said on the question of BJP not giving ticket to a Muslim candidate from any seat, saying that "Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas is not only political for us but it is also the policy of our government." If you don't get a free gas connection, home, this slogan will be wrong. Or there is electricity in a Hindu area, but there is no electricity in Muslim areas. If this happens, this slogan will prove useless. But in the whole of Uttar Pradesh, that has not happened. The schemes have been extended to the people without any bias."

In one of his interviews, Amit Shah said, "Our ticket distribution is based on victory. If the media creates a rift between the minorities and the BJP, no candidate will be able to win. We hope that this gap will be bridged. you also help the BJP in this. If you ask the question 'Has a family missed out on this scheme?', that gap would have been narrowed. But you ask if you got the ticket?. I am clear-cut, that's why I am speaking." Asked if the BJP claims to be the largest party in India which has crores of members and yet you have not got a single Muslim candidate?" Amit Shah said, "In Uttar Pradesh, in 2017, we had won 325 seats. Yet we made a Muslim an MLC and then a minister. The MLC we sent to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council has been our workers for a long time.''

On Monday, Amit Shah held a meeting in Kushinagar, due to which the home minister made a big attack on SP leader and former CM Akhilesh Yadav. Referring to Akhilesh Yadav's statement on the abrogation of Article 370, he said, "Modi ji scrapped Article 370 in a pinch. Akhilesh ji said that if Article 370 is removed, rivers of blood will flow. Hey Akhilesh, who are you scaring, brother? We're not one of those who are afraid. The removal of Article 370 and leave alone rivers of blood, no one dared to run the pebbles."
