Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has attacked the Central government over the transfer of West Bengal Chief Secretary. CM Mamata said the government should not retaliate against IAS and IPS officials. Mamata even said that the BJP-led Central government is not able to digest its setback in the Bengal elections.

The Trinamool supremo alleged that the Prime Minister's office was spreading "fake, one-sided and divisive news". Mamata said, "Don't insult me like this. We won the election with a big margin, so are you behaving like this? You tried your best, but lost. Why are you fighting with us like this every day?" Mamata added, "I had planned to visit cyclone affected areas. I had to visit Sagar and Digha to see the damage caused by the storm YAAS. All my plans were made and ready. Then suddenly we got a call that the Prime Minister wants to visit Bengal to check the situation after the cyclone'.

Mamata said that by the time the PM-CM meeting was to be held, we came to know that the PM had reached there some time ago and the meeting was going on there. We were asked to stay outside, said that there would be no entry at this time, because the meeting is going on. We waited patiently for a while. Then, when we asked again, we were told that no one can enter for the next 1 hour. We decided to submit our report to the PM and then with the permission of the Prime Minister, we went to Digha. I had sought the permission of the Prime Minister thrice".
