Amritsar: During his campaign for the Punjab assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda said that PM Narendra Modi has done the work of making langar tax free in the country. Not only this, but the Kartarpur Corridor has also been possible because of our PM Narendra Modi.

JP Nadda further said, "PM Modi spent Rs 120 crore on its construction. Nobody has developed Sikhs and farmers as much as the Modi government has done." Referring to the 1984 riots in Balachaur, BJP chief JP Nadda said, adding that, in 1984, there were riots in Delhi. Congress leaders used to say that when a big tree falls, the earth shakes. They have come to you to ask for votes. Now you shake them too.

BJP national President further said that these are the same people who had painted their hands with blood in the 1984 Delhi riots. He said, "The land of Punjab is the land of heroes. The land of religious gurus is the land of virtue. From the independence of the country to the security of the country, the heroes of Punjab participated in a big way. This is the land of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Ji. I bow to such a land."
