NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked tough against temple vandalism instances in Australia and said that the world agrees with him when he says the ‘attack on pilgrimage sites is not acceptable’.  The PM  was addressing a public meeting in Delhi after he arrived in the national capital from a three-nation visit on Thursday.

He continued by saying that when he speaks about Indian culture and tradition, the "world is eager to listen."  "I want to advise you to talk with confidence when discussing the culture and rich tradition of India; never adopt a slave attitude. The entire world is eager to hear. Attacks on our pilgrimage sites are not acceptable, and the entire world agrees with me on that, stated Prime Minister Modi.

While meeting with PM Anthony Albanese on the final part of his visit, PM Modi earlier raised the issue of temple vandalism in Australia.

"PM Anthony Albanese and I have previously spoken about the subject of attacks on temples in Australia and separatist forces' activity. We talked about it today as well," he said, noting that PM Albanese had promised to take "stern actions" against anyone who threatened the "warm and friendly relations between India and Australia."  He continued by saying that when he speaks about Indian culture and tradition, the "world is eager to listen."
