Jodhpur, Rajasthan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a sharp jab at Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for his conspicuous absence from an official event in Jodhpur on Thursday. The event unveiled projects worth approximately Rs 5,000 crore. PM Modi suggested that the Congress leader has unwavering faith that everything will fall into place when Modi is in charge.

Addressing a rally after inaugurating the development initiatives in Jodhpur, PM Modi also criticized the Congress administration in Rajasthan, citing concerns about the state's law and order situation and instances of atrocities against Dalits and women.

"This was a government-sponsored program, yet the Chief Minister was conspicuously absent. Why was he not present? Because he believes that when Modi arrives, everything will be sorted," PM Modi remarked.

"He has immense confidence in Modi. Consequently, he assumed that Modi's presence would resolve all issues. I also reassure him to take a break; we will handle everything," he added.

PM Modi also highlighted the central government's decision, announced the day before, to provide an additional subsidy of Rs 100 on LPG cylinders for beneficiaries of the Ujjawala scheme, on top of the existing Rs 200 subsidy.

"Today, the people of Jodhpur and Marwar received numerous benefits simultaneously. I come bearing a special gift from Delhi. Yesterday, the BJP government decided that Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries will receive gas cylinders for only Rs 600. During Raksha Bandhan, we reduced the price by Rs 400. Now, for Navratri, Dussehra, and Diwali, we've further reduced it by Rs 100," PM Modi announced.

"Our aim is to promote pollution-free cooking. Your well-being is our top priority. The BJP government is committed to your health. We are not only providing free healthcare to underprivileged families under the Ayushman Bharat scheme but also rapidly constructing modern hospitals," he added.

PM Modi declared that it is the BJP's goal to elevate Rajasthan to the top spot in tourism.

"Who can make this happen? Not just Modi, but your votes can. With your voting power, the BJP will form the government in Rajasthan, making it the leading state in tourism," the Prime Minister affirmed.

Rajasthan, currently governed by the Congress, is one of five states scheduled for elections later this year.
