New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to participate in the grand finale of the "Meri Maati Mera Desh (My Soil, My Nation) campaign's Amrit Kalash Yatra at Kartavya Path today. The Ministry of Culture, in an official announcement, has revealed that the Prime Minister will also deliver a speech to the thousands of Amrit Kalash Yatris who have gathered from all corners of the country.

This event also signifies the closing ceremony of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

During this occasion, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stones for Amrit Vatika and the Amrit Mahotsav Memorial. The "My Soil, My Nation" campaign is a heartfelt tribute to the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

In the spirit of public participation (Jan Bhagidari), the campaign encompasses a wide range of activities and ceremonies conducted at various levels, including panchayats, villages, blocks, urban local bodies, states, and the national level. The Ministry stated, "These activities include the construction of Shilaphalakam (Memorials) to express our profound gratitude to all the courageous heroes who made the supreme sacrifice, the 'Panch Pran' pledge taken by people at Shilaphalakam, planting indigenous species of saplings and the development of 'Amrit Vatika' (Vasudha Vandhan), as well as ceremonies to honor freedom fighters and the families of deceased freedom fighters (Veeron ka Vandan), among others."

The campaign has achieved remarkable success, with over 2.3 lakh Shilaphalakams constructed in 36 states and union territories, nearly 4 crore Panch Pran pledge selfies uploaded, over 2 lakh 'Veeron ka Vandan' programs held nationwide, more than 2.36 crore indigenous saplings planted, and 2.63 lakh Amrit Vatikas established under the Vasudha Vandhan theme across the country.

The 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign also includes the Amrit Kalash Yatra, which involves collecting soil and rice grains from over 6 lakh rural villages and urban wards. This collected soil is then sent to the block level, where it is combined, and subsequently sent to the state capital. The soil from the state level is then forwarded to the National Capital, accompanied by thousands of Amrit Kalash Yatris.

The grand finale of the "My Soil, My Nation" campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from all 36 states and union territories, exemplifying the true essence of 'One India, Best India.' Over 25,000 Amrit Kalash Yatris from 7,000 blocks in 766 districts across the nation marched on Kartavya Path and Vijay Chowk, presenting patriotic songs and beautifully choreographed cultural dances. Representatives from every state and union territory combined soil and rice from their regions into one colossal Amrit Kalash, symbolizing the unity in diversity of our great nation.

Furthermore, during the program, the Prime Minister is set to launch the 'My Youthful India (MY India) platform for the country's youth. MY India is being established as an autonomous body to serve as a comprehensive government platform for the nation's youth. In line with the Prime Minister's vision of providing equal opportunities to every young person in the country, MY India will leverage technology to create an enabling mechanism across the government spectrum, allowing them to realize their aspirations and contribute to building a 'Developed India.'
