New Delhi: Today is International Day of Yoga and in India, the theme of Yoga Disava is 'Yoga for Wellness'. PM Narendra Modi addressed the gathering on the occasion of 7th International Day of Yoga today. In his address, he said, "Today, when the whole world is combating the corona epidemic, yoga remains a ray of hope. For two years, even though major public events have not been held in countries around the world and in India, the enthusiasm for Yoga Day has not diminished."

At the same time, he said, "Yoga Day is not his age-old cultural festival for most countries of the world. In this difficult time, people could forget it, ignore it in such trouble. But on the contrary, the enthusiasm of Yoga has increased among the people, love has increased with Yoga. Whenever India has talked about health, it has not only meant physical health. Therefore, Yoga lays so much emphasis on physical health as well as mental health. Yoga shows us the path of creativity from stress to strength and negativity. Yoga takes us from depression to umang and pramad to prasad."

Further, Prime Minister Modi said, "Today, when the whole world is combating the corona epidemic, yoga remains a ray of hope. For two years, big public events may not have been held in countries around the world and in India, but the enthusiasm for Yoga Day has not diminished. When the invisible corona virus hit the world, no country was ready for it, by means, by strength and mental state. We have all seen that in such difficult times, Yoga became a great medium of self-strength."

At the same time, he also said, "Yoga Day is not his age-old cultural festival for most countries of the world. In this difficult time, people could forget it, ignore it in such trouble. But on the contrary, the enthusiasm of Yoga has increased among the people, love has increased with Yoga. When I talk to frontline warriors and doctors, they tell me that they made yoga a weapon to fight against corona. They have used yoga not only for their own safety but also for the safety of patients. Yoga shows us the path of creativity from stress to strength and negativity. Yoga takes us from depression to umang and pramad to prasad. He said that whenever India talks about health, the rishis of India, it has not only meant physical health. Therefore, yoga emphasizes physical health as well as mental health.''
