New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday.

This will be PM Modi's first speech to the MPs of the ruling bloc during the first session of Parliament since starting his third consecutive term. He will also deliver his response to the Motion of Thanks on the President's address in the Lok Sabha.

Union Health Minister JP Nadda will update on the implementation status of recommendations from the 143rd and 154th reports of the Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare, focusing on Demands for Grants related to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). Additionally, he will address the implementation of recommendations from the 145th and 153rd reports related to the Ministry of AYUSH.

Several other ministers, including MoS Jadhav Prataprao Ganpatrao, Jitin Prasada, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale, and others, will lay papers on the table in Lok Sabha on Tuesday. The Secretary-General will also present a copy of the new Clause (3) (Hindi and English versions) to Direction 1 issued by the Speaker under the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha.

On Monday, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's first speech as Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha stirred controversy, with BJP leaders accusing him of lying and misleading the House. They also criticized him for allegedly labeling the entire Hindu community as violent, while Congress retaliated with accusations against the Modi government.

The Rajya Sabha also saw heated exchanges, with BJP members repeatedly objecting to Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge's remarks accusing PM Modi of making divisive speeches during the Lok Sabha campaign. The debate on the Motion of Thanks continued, with PM Modi condemning Rahul Gandhi's comments. "Calling the entire Hindu community violent is a very serious matter," said PM Modi. Home Minister Amit Shah demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi.

The BJP held a press conference to denounce Rahul Gandhi's remarks, while the Congress held a counter press conference to criticize the ruling party. Rahul Gandhi attacked the BJP over various issues, including comments made during the Lok Sabha campaign, the NEET-UG controversy, and the Agniveer scheme.

Gandhi highlighted the 'Abhayamudra' symbol of the Congress party, which signifies fearlessness, reassurance, and safety. He emphasized that this symbol represents non-violence and protection in various Indian religions, contrasting it with what he claimed to be the BJP's promotion of violence and hatred. "Abhayamudra is the symbol of Congress... those who call themselves Hindu only talk about violence, hatred, untruth... Aap Hindu ho hi nahi," he said.
