New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will hold discussions with stakeholders in the business and commerce sector and heads of Indian missions abroad through video conferencing at 6 pm on Friday. According to Tahrir issued by the PMO, the PM will mark a clear call for 'Local Goes Global-Make in India for the World'. The address aims to focus on increasing India's export stake in global trade.

The same discussion aims to encourage all concerned to expand the country's export potential and use local capabilities to meet global demand. PM Narendra Modi launched the Make in India event on September 25, 2014. It aims to promote the manufacturing sector in the country. The main objective of the scheme is to increase the share of the manufacturing sector in the GDP of the country. Make in India is a kind of indigenous campaign covering at least 25 areas of the economy.

Under the same event, companies are motivated to make their own products. The sole objective of the scheme is to transform India into a global manufacturing hub. In order to invite foreign manufacturers to the country, the Government of India has approved 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in major parts of the economy. As per the current policy, 100 percent FDI has been allowed in all the 25 sectors which fall under Make in India.
