New Delhi: On the very first day of the New Year i.e. January 1, 2022, the Modi government is going to give a gift to the farmers. In the midst of a campaign to strengthen the farmers from the ground level, PM Narendra Modi will release the 10th installment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan scheme) through video conferencing two days later at 12:30 pm on Saturday. Under this, more than Rs 20,000 crore will be transferred to the bank accounts of more than 10 crore beneficiary farmer families.

Under the PM-Kisan scheme, an annual financial assistance of Rs 6000 is being given to the eligible beneficiary farmer families. Which is given in three equal installments of Rs.2000 each at 4-month intervals. The money is directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries. In this scheme, more than 1.6 lakh crore rupees have been provided to the farmer families so far.

During this event, PM Modi will also release equity grants of over Rs 14 crore to 351 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). Due to which more than 1.24 lakh farmers will be benefited. During the program, PM Narendra Modi will interact with the FPO and will also address the country.
