Rewa: PM Narendra Modi is inaugurating the 750 MW Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Project in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh through videoconferencing today. During this, PM Modi said that today Rewa has really created history. Rewa is identified with the name of mother Narmada. Now the name of Asia's largest solar power has also been added. PM Modi said that this solar plant of Rewa will help in making this entire area a big energy center in this decade. With this solar plant, the people of Madhya Pradesh, the industries here will not only get electricity, but even the metro rail in Delhi will get its benefits.

He said, "When all these projects are ready, Madhya Pradesh will definitely become a hub of cheap and clean electricity. The most benefit will be the poor, middle class families, farmers, tribals of Madhya Pradesh. Solar Energy is going to be a major medium for 21st-century energy needs, not just today. Because solar energy is Sure, Pure and Secure. " PM Modi explained that other sources of energy can run out, but the sun will always shine all over the world. Pure because it helps to protect the environment. Secure because it is our energy needs. 

PM Modi further said that as India is moving towards the new peak of development, our hopes and aspirations are increasing, so our energy and electricity needs are also increasing. In such a situation, self-sufficiency of electricity is very important for a self-reliant India. Power reached everyone, reached enough. Our environment, our air, our water should also remain pure, with this thinking we are working continuously. This thinking is also reflected in our policy and strategy for solar energy.
